Ilana has written several novels. Her debut novel, The Underground, is a suspenseful, dystopian romance about a matriarchal society. It was optioned for a screenplay which she completed during the initial pandemic lockdown in 2020. Until it comes live to your screen, enjoy the novel.
Ilana’s next pending novel is titled Housebound. It’s an uplifting story about a woman overcoming agoraphobia.
Ilana continues to expand her writing and is currently working on a number of novels, a children’s book, a screenplay and non-fiction essays.

Ilana’s writing career began in college where she majored in journalism, working as a freelance writer for all kinds of publications and garnering her first writing award as ‘stringer of the month’ from United Press International. Her graduate work in technical communications segued into her career as a technical writer where she earned a number of international awards from the society for technical communication for her innovative online business software tutorials.
But she always wanted to write novels and released her debut novel, The Underground, which was optioned for a screenplay. She completed the screenplay in 2020, during the initial pandemic lockdown. Ilana’s next novel, Housebound, is in the final editing stages and she also penned an educational children’s book, during pandemic lockdown, titled Miss Catty and the Batty about the environmental importance of bats.
In addition, she has an essay in one published business book, and has two separate essays slated for publication in books about Blues music.
